The Award for Visionaries of 2018 for MD-PhD Małgorzata Adamkiewicz and Maciej Adamkiewicz

During the European Economic Congress in Katowice, Katarzyna Dubno, Director of External Relations and Health Economics of Adamed Group, accepted the prize on behalf of the owners.

The European Economic Congress is the most significant economic event in Central Europe, and has taken place annually for the last10 years. During the EEC, the title of “Visionary” is granted to important personalities from Polish business. The organizers of the contest award those owners and managers of companies, who, despite unfavorable business environments, prove themselves with courage and determination.

Among those who have received the Visionary statuette are Zbigniew Jagiełło, CEO of PKO Bank Polski, Herbert Wirth, chairman of KGHM, and Karol Zarajczyk, CEO of Ursus.

Adamed Group, by implementing its internationalization strategy, in 2017, has made the largest Polish direct investment in Vietnam to date. The agreement for the purchase of a controlling stake in Dat Vi Phu was officially signed by Małgorzata Adamkiewicz, MD-PhD, and Mr Phạm Tài Trường, company founder. This took place on 28 November 2017 in Hanoi, in the presence of the presidents of both countries, Andrzej Duda and Trần Đại Quang, during an official visit to Vietnam by the President of Republic of Poland during his business mission organized by the Ministry of Development and Polish Investment and Trade Agency.

Dat Vi Phu is a Vietnamese company, established in 2004 and which manufactured almost 300 medical products in most of the therapeutic groups. It is the most dynamically developing company in the local pharmaceutical market. It produces a broad range of medical products, for both the Vietnamese and neighboring markets in the Philippines, Cambodia, and Burma. Dat Vi Phu is located in the Province of Binh Diong, close to Ho Chi Minh City. Currently it employs almost 250 employees.
