Małgorzata Adamkiewicz,
MD, PhD
President of the Supervisory BoardA physician and endocrinologist, co-founder and co-owner of Adamed Pharma.
She is a graduate of the Medical University of Warsaw and Stockholm School of Economics Executive Education.
She holds first- and second-degree specialist qualifications in internal medicine and endocrinology. For 12 years she worked at the Centre of Postgraduate Medical Education (CMKP), Department of Endocrinology at Bielański Hospital in Warsaw, combining clinical practice with teaching.
She has been with Adamed Pharma since the company was founded. She helped build the business while continuing to work at the hospital as a doctor and university lecturer. She was involved in the development, registration, sales and marketing of Adamed's first products. From 1998 to 2006 she served as Medical Director, responsible for creating the research and development (R&D) department and initiating work on new medicines. From 2006 to 2013 she led the company as Managing Director, and then, until 2020, as General Director. Since 2020 she has been President of the Supervisory Board.
Drawing on her clinical and scientific experience, she transformed Adamed into an international pharmaceutical and biotechnology company. In 2010 she persuaded the family to acquire Polfa Pabianice, which significantly broadened the product portfolio and increased manufacturing scale.
Over the past 25 years, Adamed's revenue has grown fifty-fold.
In 2014 she established the Adamed Foundation, which supports talented young people through the Adamed SmartUP programme. Over 12 years, almost 100,000 students have applied to the programme and more than 500 have taken part in science camps. The Adamed Foundation also works to support the mental health of children and young people through its "Wspierająca Szkoła" (Supportive School) programme.
She is actively involved in promoting entrepreneurship, innovation and deregulation in Poland.
In 2013 she received the Gold Cross of Merit from the President of Poland for her achievements, and in 2019 the Medal of the Centenary of Regained Independence.
From 2013 to 2015 she was a member of the Supervisory Board of Pekao SA.
In 2025 she was named Entrepreneur of the Year in the EY competition in Poland. She is a member of the Steering Committee of the SprawdzaMY initiative, a member of the Business Council of Think Tank The Company, and since 2015 has served as Vice-President of the Board of the Polish Business Roundtable.
Karolina Adamkiewicz,
MD, PhD
Member of the Supervisory BoardA physician, she represents the third generation of the family involved in the company's development.
In 2014 she graduated with a degree in Neuroscience from the University of Cambridge, and in 2017 completed her medical degree at King's College London. She was awarded a PhD in medical sciences in 2019 by the Medical University of Warsaw. In 2021 she obtained the MRCP(UK) qualification in internal medicine. In 2024 she completed an MBA at INSEAD, preparing her to manage and grow a business in an international environment.
She gained her clinical experience in the British public health service, the NHS in London. From 2017 to 2019 she worked as a Foundation Doctor in East London, and from 2020 to 2023 as an Internal Medicine Trainee and Cardiology and Medical Registrar in North West London. She worked in cardiology, intensive care and emergency medicine departments, including during the COVID-19 pandemic.
She gained her business experience at McKinsey & Company in 2016, among others. She has also taken part in medical volunteer work at a maternity hospital in Rabat, Morocco, and in the Philippines, where she ran first-aid training for local emergency services.
She has been with Adamed Pharma since 2015. She uses her medical experience and expertise to support the company's business development and international expansion. From 2019 to 2020 she was Business Development Manager, working among others at the company's representative office in Spain. As Business Development Director she is now responsible for developing the medicines portfolio and for Adamed's expansion in European and Latin American markets. She took part in the acquisition from Sanofi of the manufacturing plant in Riells i Viabrea near Barcelona, which strengthens Adamed's production capacity in Europe and supports the company's further growth in international markets.

Adamkiewicz
Member of the Supervisory Board
An engineer and graduate of Stanford University, specialising in mechatronics, robotics and machine learning. He represents the third generation of the family involved in the company's development.
He is currently Director of Research and Development at WindBorne Systems, a technology start-up that grew out of a student research society at Stanford University. The technology he has been helping to develop for several years was included in the TIME Best Inventions 2025 list.
He has been designing mechatronic devices for years. He built his first 3D printer as a teenager. He is co-author of several patents. Before finishing secondary school, he filed his first patent application for 3D printing in cryogenic conditions.
He completed a bachelor's degree in mechatronics and microelectronics in 2020, and a master's degree in Electronic Engineering, specialising in signal processing and mathematical optimisation, in 2023.
During his studies he worked at NVIDIA and then at a robot autonomy laboratory, where he co-authored scientific papers on the use of machine learning models in robot navigation. He combines expertise in mechanics, electronics and artificial intelligence.
During his master's studies he designed and taught an introductory course in mechatronics. After graduating he continued teaching as a lecturer at Stanford University.
He is the originator and co-creator of Adamed SmartUP, the Adamed Foundation's programme for talented young people interested in science. The programme has been running since 2014.
At Adamed Pharma he draws on his Silicon Valley experience to support digital transformation and the development of technology and innovation projects.
