On Friday, February 14, Małgorzata Adamkiewicz, MD, PhD, Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board and Co-owner of Adamed Pharma, together with Rafał Brzoska, founder and CEO of InPost Group, Rafał Dutkiewicz, President of Employers of Poland, Wojciech Kostrzewa, President of the Polish Business Roundtable, and Maciej Witucki, President of the Lewiatan Confederation met with Prime Minister Donald Tusk at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister, representing the team of entrepreneurs for economic deregulation. The meeting was also attended by the Minister of Finance, Andrzej Domański, and the Minister of Development and Technology, Krzysztof Paszyk.
The team was formed after the conference on February 10 this year "Poland. A year of breakthrough", during which the Prime Minister, announcing the economic strategy, invited Polish business leaders to develop deregulation proposals. Within just a few days, a working group was created, which included the largest business organizations such as Employers of Poland, the Lewiatan Confederation, the Polish Business Roundtable and Corporate Connections, as well as dozens of experts and entrepreneurs. The aim of the cooperation is to improve the functioning of the Polish economy in the field of legislation and to facilitate business activity for all entrepreneurs, so that the Polish economy becomes the most competitive economy in Europe, and ultimately also in the world.
In an interview with Grzegorz Nawacki, editor-in-chief of the XYZ website, conducted shortly after the talks between entrepreneurs at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister, Małgorzata Adamkiewicz, who was asked whether deregulation would not favor entrepreneurs at the expense of employees, replied:
"There is no such risk and you cannot put employees in opposition to entrepreneurs – it is people who create companies. Without them, no organization would exist. Entrepreneurs generate most of the GDP and contribute to the improvement of the standard of living in Poland. Salaries have recently increased. Improving the condition of companies will translate into a better standard of living for the entire society, and the economy will create better conditions for the development of the country. This is what we all want.”
