Receiving the main prize from Jacek Kędzior, Managing Partner at EY Poland, and the competition's Jury during the gala ceremony, Małgorzata Adamkiewicz, MD, PhD, said:
–Thank you very much for this award. I feel honored and very happy, but I want to emphasize that this award is an award for all Polish entrepreneurs. Over the past 20 years, the Polish economy has become one of the fastest growing among the large European economies and the Polish GDP has doubled. This is thanks to private entrepreneurs, who generate the vast majority of Polish GDP, providing the largest income tax revenues to the state budget and employ almost 80% of the people working in Poland. This economic transformation has taken place in front of our eyes. Most of us remember what Poland looked like 35 years ago and we see what it looks like today. We can be very proud of our country! But all this is possible thanks to economic freedom and the fact that we have this freedom. However, we must remember that this freedom is not given to anyone forever. This freedom must be cared for and nurtured, which is of particular importance in the current geopolitical situation. While building a strong Polish economy, we must build it together, working side by side on deregulation – the entrepreneurs, the entire society and the public side. Regardless of political option. Because this is our country. And an economically strong country is a stable and safe country.
The award ceremony took place on March 7th, 2025 in Warsaw, gathering leading representatives of the business world from the entire country.
