Young Scientists Forge of the Polish Academy of Sciences

The meeting was conducted in a workshop format combined with lectures and panel discussions led by experts in various scientific fields. Training related to: self-presentation, biostatistics and editing research papers.

The Adamed Group was represented by Anna Kosińska – Project Manager of ADAMED SmartUP and Dr. Zbigniew Majka – Head of New Product Development at the Adamed Group.  They spoke about the company operation and the successful cooperation between business and science. The meeting participants also learned the main objectives of the ADAMED SmartUP programme, whose aim is to popularize science subjects and support the development and interests of gifted youth.

During the meeting, the verdict of the best scientific presentation competition was also announced. The Adamed Group sponsored the main prize for the author of the best assessed work. Dr. Zbigniew Majka participated in the committee that reviewed the competition presentations. He also presented the award to the winner – Urszula Religioni, who works as a researcher at the Department of Public Health of the Medical University of Warsaw. The prize will help the winner finance participation in a selected scientific conference abroad.

This year's edition of the Young Talents Forge was addressed to scientists who focus their interests around the medical sciences, biological sciences, mathematics and agriculture.

The idea of the workshops fits in perfectly with the activities of the Adamed Group Foundation, which was established to support research and development as well as science and education in the field of hard and natural sciences. The Foundation is spreading the idea of collaboration and integrates scientific community, pharmaceutical, medical and biotechnological industries as well as strengthens cooperation with entities performing similar tasks and objectives, operating both in the country and abroad.
