The Adamed Group co-financed the extension of the chemical laboratory and contributed to the organisation of summer IT/chemistry workshops.

Maciej Adamkiewicz, President of the Adamed Group, and Anna Kosińska, Project Manager of the ADAMED SmartUP program, took part in an exceptional meeting with the students at the Stanislaw Staszic Secondary School in Warsaw during which the learners expressed their gratitude for supporting the activity of the scientific chemistry circle. The Adamed Group co-financed the extension of the chemical laboratory and contributed to the organisation of summer IT/chemistry workshops. The ceremony of handing out the award on behalf of the school community was held on 14 January 2015.

After the official part, Adamed Group representatives answered the learners’ questions regarding the process of creating drugs, the activity of the Adamed Group as well as the position of Poland in the global arena in the scope of chemistry. The students were also interested in the perspectives of professional development in science.

Maciej Adamkiewicz emphasised the challenges that the chemists face in the context of health protection. He said: “Due to numerous EU requirements, Poland will need to strengthen the activities related to natural environment protection as well as face the necessity of withdrawing many substances and replacing them with different ones. Nevertheless, this process creates a tremendous opportunity to create and implement innovative solutions.”

Finally, Anna Kosińska talked about the activity of the Adamed Group Foundation established in July 2014 and its first project – ADAMED SmartUP program. Unofficially, the students discussed recent developments in the recruitment game as well as their plans connected with scientific development.
