Adamaed Group on the seminar in the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland

The seminar’s aim was to interest various groups in the problem of patent protection for pharmaceutical and biotechnological inventions. The issues of patentability, the disclosure of a biotechnological invention and of selective inventions were touched upon.

UPRP experts Małgorzata Kozłowska, Ewa Waszkowska, and Joanna Chylińska talked about the challenges of creating international reports on state-of-the-art and preliminary opinions under the newly established Visegrad Patent Institute. EPO experts Niels Stevnsborg, Jörg Konter, and Giovanni Macchia discussed the latest decisions of the EPO’s Board of Appeal relating to pharmaceutical and biotechnological inventions. 

Patent attorneys and representatives of pharmaceutical companies were among the invited speakers.
