Another chance for faster development — 4th edition of WAW.AC is launched

19 September 2017

WAW.ac leads the participants through original workshops and specialist training, and provides access to global partners and experienced entrepreneurs. At the same time, scientists who are successfully connected with business are specially invited. The Accelerator programme cooperates with over 100 SMEs who help to deepen knowledge, acquire skills, and meet people. This is a huge chance for companies involved in improving life quality, communication, Demand Side Response solutions, and IoT technologies. The application form is available until 1 September on the following website: http://waw.ac/zaaplikuj. Participation is free of charge.

We have introduced new improvements and modifications to the programme for the fourth edition. In the last few years, we have witnessed how the needs of technology companies and the tools available to them are evolving. We are committed to providing workshops that will not only be intensive, but also interactive, requiring participants to leave their comfort zone, as it’s so often the case when facing customers — says Dr Andrzej Kuśmierz, founder and leader of WAW.ac.

We are looking forward to meeting scientists with a motivation to translate research results into new products or services in the life science sector. We believe that Polish science has the potential to produce truly ground-breaking innovations. We offer access to practical knowledge and specific pharmaceutical workmanship, which in connection with new ideas, discoveries, and innovations can bring effective implementations and commercial success in this extremely complex sector of the economy — says Marcin Szczeciński, Head of Capital Investment at Adamed Group.

The results of this collaboration will be presented at the Final Gala in February 2018. In addition to Adamed Group, partners of the 4th edition include Microsoft, Intel, Innogy Polska, T-Mobile, and the Capital City of Warsaw.

The Warsaw Accelerator began activities in July 2015. Its record of graduate companies contains some 50 names now. For some participants, the programme has brought comprehensive growth, investment or the creation of a product. Recommendations and specific results are displayed by the organisers on the website: www.waw.ac/stories.
