Adamed Group supports the XV Conference of the Polish Pharmacoeconomics Society

2 December 2017

The educational workshops focused on the role of the analysis of the reimbursement decision-making process, extrapolation of clinical data, and practical examples of drug reimbursement. The first conference day consisted of open events. The lectures began at 12 p.m. with a speech on drug pricing in Central and Eastern Europe. This was followed by a discussion with Central European countries’ representatives on the issue of rational drug policy in both of the regions. The specialists identified the challenges facing the Agency for Health Technology Assessment and the Tariff System (AOTMiT) and the guidelines to be used in the course of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

The second day of the conference was dedicated to the current technological challenges and the quality assessment criteria concerning medical devices. Another topic which was touched upon was the importance of clinically significant endpoints in the efficacy assessment of drug development technologies, with particular emphasis on selected oncological indications.

The Polish Pharmacoeconomics Society (PTFe) is a national chapter of the International Society of Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR). It has operated in Poland since 2000 as an organisation of economists, doctors, pharmacists and other scientists and experts representing the intertwining fields of medicine and economics.
