Adamed Group at European Forum for New Ideas

10 October 2015

This year’s debates focused among other things on the vital measures that have to be taken in order to make the European economy more efficient. The most important challenges faced by the European Union, i.e. future of the euro zone, the single digital market, or the European Energy Union, were also high on the Forum’s agenda.

There were 4 plenary sessions and 11 panels in specific subject areas on the agenda of EFNI 2015. In addition, discussions during breakfast and dinner debates as well as debates of trade-specific associations and evening talks took place. On the third day of the Forum, a meeting with leading Polish entrepreneurs and authors of bold ideas and successful businesses was held in the form of a discussion entitled “Inspirations of business people at EFNI — people who shape the Polish economy”.Maciej Adamkiewicz – President of the Management Board of the Adamed Group — was one of its participants. Other guests who took part in the event included: Marek Trojanowicz — founder of CTAdventure, Marcin Ochnik — founder and owner of Ochnik, Solange Olszewska — founder and co-owner of Solaris Bus & Coach S.A., Adam Rozwadowski — founder, owner and President of the Management Board of Enel-Med S.A., and Piotr Voelkel — engineer, entrepreneur and owner of the Vox Group. The meeting was hosted by Teresa Kamińska — President of the Pomeranian Special Economic Zone — and Roman Młodkowski — journalist, media manager and independent consultant. Thanks to the open form of the discussion, the audience was able to ask questions related to the functioning of the best Polish companies.

— According to my observations, running a company and a hospital has a lot in common. Both structures need to have process management in place. While running a company, we also focus to the same extent on solving people’s problems, and our duty is to respond to the ever changing patient needs — said Maciej Adamkiewicz.

For many years, the European Forum for New Ideas has been gathering business leaders from Poland, Europe and other continents, as well as representatives of political, cultural and scientific communities. Its participants look for solutions to key issues faced by the Western economy. They also talk about significant trends able to shake world markets. EFNI is organised by the Polish Confederation Lewiatan.
