Adamed Expert is now also available for nurses

22 September 2023

Starting from September, Adamed Expert now features a section for nurses and midwives. It includes objective and reliable medical content to support the nursing staff’s lifelong education and professional development pursuits, but also features legal advice and psychological support articles intended for this HCP group.

Adamed Expert is a medical information website created by Adamed Pharma in 2020. It offers up-to-date medical knowledge and high-quality related content created by renowned specialists in their respective areas. The website is intended for both patients and their caregivers, as well as healthcare professionals: doctors, pharmacists and, starting from September 2023, also for nurses. The first edition of the new section contains more than 100 substantive articles, divided into the following areas: News, Specialties and Specialisations, Law, Psychology, Video and Podcasts. The website is available on: www.adamed.expert/pielegniarka.

Nurses need multidimensional support

The new healthcare model awards more extensive rights and competencies to nurses. Adamed Expert is committed to furthering their professional development and to ensuring the support they need to practice their profession as nurses and midwives. In recognition and appreciation of the eagerness to expand their knowledge and follow the latest medical guidelines expressed by this part of the medical community, Adamed Pharma is responding to their needs in a comprehensive way.

“Our everyday practice shows that nurses more than welcome the opportunity to gain new knowledge and improve their education. They prefer to be able to access it conveniently without limitations and at any time. According to their own declarations, they mainly look for updated information they will be able to use in their work. The desire to disseminate the best medical standards and expertise among medical professionals became the idea behind the creation of the Adamed Expert platform and subsequently underpinned the launch of the section for nurses,” says Sylwia Berdzik-Kalarus, Member of the Management Board of Adamed Pharma S.A. and Director for Commercial Operations and Business Development.

Interviews conducted during the consultations preceding the development of the new website section suggest that nurses need multidimensional support. They require not only strictly nursing knowledge, but also expertise in other areas, such as psychology, law, mediation, communication, negotiations or time management.

“The nurses and midwives we are in contact with often ask questions about how to communicate better with patients, whether a nurse can refuse to provide a health service and under what circumstances, or to what extent they can independently administer medication or provide health services without doctor's orders. On our website, they can find answers to these and to similar questions which may come up about their everyday work at the interface between various medical and non-medical areas,” says Grzegorz Firczyk, Digital Marketing & eCommerce Director.

The website offers several functionalities, depending on the selected user options. Specialist dedicated content is available to doctors, pharmacists and nurses after logging in.

“The spread of fake news makes it extremely difficult to find reliable and trusted online information sources. This is why Adamed Pharma is supplying reliable and verified materials,” comments Grzegorz Firczyk.
