Proteomics Lab

Proteomics Lab

The main activities of the Proteomics Lab include the design and implementation of purification methods for recombinant proteins with therapeutic potential, analytics of proteins and bioconjugates, and providing their exact characteristics. An important part of the Lab’s work is participation in studies of molecular mechanisms of action and molecule pharmacology to prepare the molecules for advanced stages of the development process as drug candidates.

The Lab is equipped with six fast protein liquid chromatography (FPLC) analysers and a HPLC analyser. Also, the research team has at its disposal a circular dichroism (CD) spectrometer, BiacoreT200, a surface plasmon resonance device, and OktetK2 with interferometry. The Lab is also equipped with Poland’s first variable path length technology system SoloVPE, which is used for precise measurements of high protein concentrations without the need of diluting the sample. Some of the smaller instruments necessary to provide characteristics of protein preparations used in the Lab include a conductometer, an osmometer, a device for isoelectric focusing, a standard spectrophotometers set, and electrophoresis instruments.
